UPDATE (3/02/09):

Due to the gutting of the venerated 32/39 DW build in the upcoming patch, I will be reverting to a 2hander build. As such, I have updated my list with new items.

Are you going Blood or Unholy?

The gear changes a little bit depending upon spec. You'd be looking more towards armor pen and haste (a little bit) with blood as most of the dmg is physical whereas Unholy is mostly shadow dmg.

Dunno if that would change your gear options, but just a thought to consider.

As far as I know Blood and Unholy are both strong specs in 3.1.

As it stands, Unholy is looking to receive the most benefit from the new patch. While the standard Unholy spec may change to conform to the changes of the Blood and Unholy trees, I'm confident that there were still be a major abundance of talent points in the Unholy tree. In either case, there does not seem to be a strong DW spec that has made its presence clear yet, as Blizzard severely tweaked the trees to bring the DW juggernaut back in line with 2-hander builds.

With the advent of dual builds upon us, however, the possibility of tinkering with various DW setups is quite nice.

Updated for Ulduar, sorted list into pre-Ulduar and Ulduar gear sections. Seems to be a few nice upgrades even from 10 man Ulduar (hard mode, natch).

Update on 6/09/09: Expanded available item upgrades to better reflect our progression in terms of 25 man and 10 man hard mode content.
